What is the trolley?
The trolley is a convenient and affordable way to get an up-close look at the city. These stops allow you to get closer to Dallas for less money and time than driving around aimlessly.
There are three routes that will take you around the city. They are: The Arts, Discovery, and Riverfront lines.
This is a great way to see Dallas if you’re on the go or just want to get a better glimpse of the city without having to sit in traffic. It’s also a great way for kids and families to see what they can do while they’re in Dallas.
How does it work?
Dallas’s trolley is a unique way to explore the city. It allows you to see all that Dallas has to offer without having to drive around aimlessly. There are two routes and you can stop at any of the convenient stops along the route. You don’t need a pass or special ticket because each ride is only $1! You just hop on and start exploring, then hop off when you’re ready or when your destination is in sight.
The trolley runs from 6 am to 11 pm (midnight) every day and it takes about 1 hour for each round-trip. The cost for a single ride is $1 and there are different passes available for purchase depending on how often you want to use it, but they average out to be about $10 per month and $100 per year. If there’s one thing that Dallas is known for, it’s its abundance of museums!
The trolleys also have WiFi so you can get connected while you’re exploring Dallas! One of the most popular stops on the trolleys is Highland Station which is conveniently located near many museums and parks, including Sundance Square, Klyde Warren Park, and Dallas World Aquarium.
The trolley stops at nine different locations throughout the city. These include the Arts District and Deep Ellum, as well as other points of interest like the Texas State Fairgrounds, Dallas Farmers Market, and Reunion Tower. The stops are in convenient locations so you can easily get to know your new city.
