National Nurses Day is celebrated annually on May 6 to raise awareness of the important role nurses play in American society. It marks the beginning of National Nurses Week, which ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale.
May 12, the final day of National Nurses Week, is the birthday of Florence Nightingale (1820-1910). The English nurse became known as the founder of professional nursing, especially due to her pioneering work during the Crimean War (1853-1856).
Nurses spend so much time on their feet, catering to patients, maintaining all the records necessary and communicating with doctors that Nurses Week elicits us the time to give back to them with chair massage right at their location.
There are so many benefits of massage but for Nurses we want to take a few minutes to reduce their stress, increase blood circulation, increase their energy and critical thinking skills with 10, 15 or even 30 minutes of chair massage.
Whether your location has 4-5 nurses or a whole crew of nurses at different shifts, Massage by Design can bring therapists to you anywhere, anytime, Nationwide.
